Chef Michael W. Macri, Certified Executive Chef (2005) through the American Culinary Federation (ACF) comes to us from Brooklea Country Club, where he served for 2011as Executive Chef. Chef Macri’s key experience stems from his tenure at the Genesee Valley Club, where for 13 years from 1997 through 2010 he established himself as a prominent figure at this “platinum rated” city Club. Among Chef Macri’s many awards, such as Gold, Silver, and Bronze competition medals, he was named 2008 Chef of the Year in the Rochester Chapter ACF. Prior to his time at the Genesee Valley Club, he worked at The Lodge at Woodcliff from 1993 – 1997, serving as Executive Chef from 1996 – 1997. Chef is a current Board Chair on the ACF of Rochester, as well as past president and former trustee.
Chef Macri is a native of Canandaigua, NY where he and his family currently reside. Chef attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and throughout his career has studied many culinary arts programs across the country.
